Ochre Rose is a magical, light-filled gallery founded by three female artists. Elizabeth Porritt Carrington, Kelcey Loomer, and Amanda McLenon have transformed the former Guitar Bar space of the historic Cotton Mill into a warm, inviting gallery filled with paintings full of story and soul. Their large canvases depict nature and folklore and the open studio design allows visitors to interact with the artists and learn these stories.
Their well attended soft opening in May of 2026 welcomed many local artists and friends and family. The invitation is now extended for Saturday October 10th for their Grand Opening Garden Party. Collectors and neighbors alike are welcomed to commemorate this return to the River Arts District. The celebration will spill over onto the back deck of the gallery with trains passing by on the tracks. Light snacks and drinks will be served and special events will be sprinkled throughout the day. The Cuban restaurant Guajiro will be open next door serving delicious food too. Gallery hours 11-4 Event hours 4:00-7:00 pm.
